Retro Cybercity Corporate Tileset (REVAMPED)
A downloadable asset pack
Retro Cybercity Corporate Tileset
This asset pack is for creators who are looking to try a cyberpunk or futuristic scifi aesthetic that takes cues from the analog era of the 1980s and 90s. Think Blade Runner or Ready Player One with an SNES/SEGA Genesis style color palette.
It includes tiles and objects for exterior and interior "corpo" theme meant to cover city streets, offices, rooftop hangouts, and board rooms. Included are assets for clean sidewalks, roads, city decor, and many interior props to fit a cyberpunk "office" or upscale "corporate" vibe. With some imagination, you can easily stretch the included assets into other types of settings and ideas.
The pack is top-down perspective and scaled at 16x16 by default. A 48x48 version of each tileset is also included as I've found blowing up 16x16 assets to 3x is a superior method for importing custom art to RPG Maker engines. Though designed around RPG Maker, this package can be used in various game development engines, including Unity and RPGmaker. The pack uses a customized version of theBLKNX64 palette by @blkirl.
Housekeeping Notes:
Unless otherwise indicated, all materials are offered in PNG format.
I DO NOT use AI for any part of my creative process -- all of my work is hand-made in Aseprite.
What Does It Include (as of October 2024)?
This asset pack has doubled in size (at least) and now includes a fuller range of useful tiles and props for the "Corpo" theme. Existing elements have been tweaked or improved where possible. Gaps in content have also been filled and this process will continue as the asset is developed.
Unless otherwise indicated, all materials are offered in PNG format.
This pack now includes:
- FREE Demo version of tileset which includes a small sample of the available content of this pack. Try before you buy!
- Revamped showcase Mockups using these assets and now available in the pack as reference material. These are a good way for users to see how the elements of this tileset all fit together in a sample map/scene.
- "Exterior" Tileset with an A5 (floors and walls) sheet as well as B, C, D, and E sheets which feature props and variants.
- "Interior" Tileset with an A5 (floors and walls) sheet as well as B, C, and D sheets which feature props and variants including a new SUV style static vehicle!
- over 100 unique tiles and variants to build environments!
- over 100 unique props and variants to decorate!
- assortment of animated props (see example to the right, which is only a selection of the included props)
This pack does not or no longer includes:
- 32x32 variant sheets ( you can easily upscale 16x16 to 32x32 if needed!)
- Autotiles
- Vehicles (red and black cars) featured in the promo imagery -- a new SUV style vehicle w/ 2 variants is now included instead!
- Character sprites (there is one static front-facing hologram sprite) featured in the promo imagery -- a "Corpo" character pack is in the works and will be ready for release soon!
Will There be Updates?
As of October 2024, this asset pack has been reworked as part of my general content revamp. Future updates are expected to be smaller scale changes and fixes and will be added to this space as they occur.

I make other art as side projects or for fun. Any time I really get a bug to make game assets outside of my own projects and commissions, I'll probably put them on itch!

Just a notice that the problem described in comments below, where previous purchasers lost access to the pack, has been resolved.
The issue had to do with something I missed when setting up the demo/paid dynamic for the pack.
Now anyone who buys this pack should be able to download updates. Apologies to all for the inconvenience this has caused!
I cant download it too!I already buy it long time ago...
my email: 3681782@gmail.com
Okay, so that means it wasn’t just happening for one person. Very good to know. I am in contact w/ itch support and I’ll get this worked out ASAP.
In the meantime, I am sending you the updated zip at the email you provided. Thanks for your patience!
I already buy it month ago, why I cant download it again???
"Nothing is available for download yet."?
I’m sorry you’re having issues! I’m not sure why that’s happening but it could be because I’ve changed the structure of the pack. It could also have something to do with the sale. I don’t know much about how itch does this stuff behind the scenes and I may have made a mistake somewhere when setting up the update!
Can you tell me, or show me w/ screencaps maybe, what you’re seeing when you try to download? If it’s happening to you, it might be happening to other people and I don’t want folks who purchased these packs to have to buy them twice, that’s completely unintended!
I promise we’ll figure this out.
I ask the support for answer.. I cant buy again every assets I already buy when there is an update.....

Hey! Thanks so much for providing this info. Did itch support tell you that you can’t download (for free) an update to a pack you’ve purchased? That seems extremely odd to me as users would then also not be able to update whole games they purchased?
Anyways, until I figure out what’s causing this, I’ll email you the new stuff directly since you shared your email address. I am really sorry for the inconvenience and as soon my sale ends I’ll contact itch support and find out if I messed something up or what the best practices are for updates – it may be that updating during a sale is just a bad idea!
Please check your email to find the new Corpo tileset and assets.
Awesome! Was considering doing a similar "retro cyber" topdown pack recently! Glad to see someone else is already moving along with the idea.
Looks great, excited to see more.
Cheers!
Glad you like it! I had a look at your work and it’s great. Pretty different from mine (so much variety too!) so I’d be super curious to see what you do with a cyberpunk theme. If you have any questions or anything like that, feel free to hit me up.
Sweet! Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot. Cheers!
Hope you enjoy it!
Looks good so far.
Thanks!
