Retro Cybercity Street Characters Portrait VARIETY Pack

This is a series of portraits for character sprites in the original Street Characters sprite pack. 

This pack is intended to serve as an alternative option for folks who do not need the "emoting" animations featured in my primary portrait packs.  Instead, this pack includes the "base" variant portrait for each character. In addition, this pack features ALL the characters currently included across ALL THREE Street Characters portrait packs.

This asset pack is for creators who are looking to try a cyberpunk or futuristic scifi aesthetic that takes cues from the analog era of the 1980s and 90s. Think Blade Runner or Ready Player One with an SNES/SEGA Genesis style color palette. 

The pack uses the palette BLKNX64 by @blkirl.

SPECIAL NOTE:

The RPG Maker folder in the pack includes a version of these portraits formatted and scaled to work with RPG Maker MZ which uses a portrait cell size of 144x144. The native size for these assets is 48x48 and these can be resized at 2x to be used with RPG Makers that IIRC used 96x96.

What Does It Include?

• All 32 characters from the "Street Characters" sprite series, including the "Hero" characters, civilians, and more.
• Static base variant portraits for each character, 32 portraits in all.
• 2 Size Options by default: Native 48x48 cells and RPG Maker MZ compatible 144x144 cells arranged in 2x8 sheets.

IT DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• 16x16 full body character sprites -- different pack for those!
• Portraits from the other portrait packs, they are only shown on the sidebar as examples.
• "Emoting" variants or animation variants for blinking or talking.  These are just "singles" for those who do not require the extras.

Why Offer a "Variety" Pack?

It occurred to me during production of the "Gangs" portrait mini-packs that some folks might prefer to get as many distinct characters as possible in one pack and may not need the variants. Others may want to try these out and could purchase the "full" packs down the road and take advantage of the additional portrait variants for their projects.

What if I already bought your Portrait Packs, Mini-Packs or Portrait Bundles?

I am looking into ways of offering discounts so that, for example, a customer who purchases the variety pack would be able to get the "full" variants packs for a little less than full price as they have already paid for a chunk of that content. Please contact me if you've purchased the full Portrait Bundle  for the Variety Pack you are interested in.

I will also be including this pack in the "Street Characters" portrait bundle as a free addition. Think of it as a different package for the some of the same content that bundle already includes.

Will There be Updates?

I am likely to add additional characters to the sprite packs over time and as I do so, I will eventually also update the portrait packs to include those new characters.

Any other updates to this pack will likely be limited to fixes and tweaks.

Licensing

Please note, by purchasing and downloading this product, you are agreeing to the following licensing terms:

What You Can Do:

• Use in commercial and non-commercial games, personal projects, or public domain projects.
• Sell works created using this asset, eg: a video game.
• Modify assets for your own use in personal or commercial projects. For example, reorganizing tile sheets, adjusting size, or mixing and matching assets, recolors.
• Publish work using this asset on websites relating to art, games, and similar.

What You Cannot Do:

• Resell the original or any modified version.
• Use the assets or derivatives in logo, trademark, or service mark.
• Use these assets for AI anything, generators, code-based art tools, or NFTs.
