Nidavellir Dwarf Village Tileset

Welcome to Nidavellir, the underground region of the Realm of Svartalfheim, forever dark and cold.

This is a realm shared between the dwarves and the dokkalfr (dark elves) who live on the surface. The dwarves, in their deep delves, keep to themselves and guard their civilization and its treasures with utmost secrecy. Master shapers of weapons, machines, and magical artifacts, the dwarves are often sought out for these skills.

This asset pack is for creators looking to work in the fantasy genre but with the aesthetic of Norse mythology (vikings!) as a primary influence.

The pack includes tiles and props for the creation of "exterior" scenes with an underground theme ready for your game project. The pack is top-down perspective and scaled at 16x16 by default. This pack can be used in just about any game engine, though creators may need to make modifications to the size and orientation of sheets. The pack has been set up to work with RPG Maker MZ by default.

The pack mixes together the warm colors and slightly bleak vibes of the comfy52 palette by bess.

What Does It Include?

This pack includes:

• Variety of ground, building, roof, and wall tiles for exterior scenes (interiors will come in a future update).
• Variety of props for both outdoors (rocks, trees, etc) and village scenes (building decor, tools, light source, etc).

Will There be Updates?

Yes! As with the previous Midgard tileset pack, the first update to this pack will include interior props and tiles. It should be noted that the pack, as is, can easily be adapted for that purpose but it's nice to have specific assets for interiors anyway! Either at the same time or after the interiors, I'll be spending some time on animating various props in this pack. Especially the lava! I wanna see that stuff bubble!

Also note that this pack is smaller than the Midgard pack and the price reflects this. It is unlikely to get MUCH bigger but if it does, I'll revisit the price in the future to be consistent with the Midgard pack and other larger tilesets I have done.

Can I Make Requests?

Yes! If you would like sprites, tiles, props, etc done in this style for your personal project, please contact me using the below information. I will do these for pretty cheap and to your specifications, so please inquire!
